Sonya is currently studying for a Bachelor of Music at the Royal College of Music, London with Professor Norma Fisher, after receiving the Nora Goodridge Young Artist award from the Australian Music Foundation. She has performed in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Elgar Room and Wigmore Hall, London and in concert halls all over Europe including, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Romania and Israel. Sonya has won many prizes across Australia and Europe; most notably the First prize in the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Piano competition, London, first prize in the

Hephzibah Menuhin Memorial Award piano competition, Melbourne and first prize in the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra Rising Star competition.


Sonya has performed concertos with orchestras since she was 15, most notably the Saint-Saens Piano Concerto No. 2 under Maestro Richard Gill AO.
