Born into a family of musicians, Callum Mclachlan, 20, first started piano lessons with his father, and entered Chetham’s School of Music at age 11, where he studied with Russian pianist Dina Parakhina. He currently studies at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, with the celebrated pianist Claudius Tanski.
Callum has won numerous first prizes in international competitions, such as the Welsh International Piano Competition, The Youth Scottish International Piano Competition and the RNCM Chopin Competition. He frequently plays in prestigious venues around the country such as the Bridgewater Hall, RNCM, and Steinway Hall. Callum’s studies have been generously supported by the Royal Philharmonic Society.
